Our Mission and Goals
EKU-SAFE's mission
The mission of EKU-SAFE is to promote personal and collective responsibility for each other's safety by creating awareness around the complexities of violence; strengthening alliances between campus and community partners; changing conversations to offer leadership training, creative outlets, and peer education to faculty, students, and staff; and transforming campus by providing direct services to survivors as well as supportive friends and partners within our campus community. We believe that SAFE starts with each of us so everyone can say "I am EKU-SAFE."
EKU-SAFE's goals are to…
- Reduce and prevent violence against women, and improve the safety of women on EKU's campus;
- Ensure a coordinated, culturally competent, appropriate response to incidents of violence against women on the EKU campus;
- Improve awareness of and access to services for survivors of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking on campus.
